Read This Before You Panic.
Listen — missing court doesn’t make you a criminal mastermind. Life happens. Kids get sick. Cars break down. People forget. It happens every single week. The problem is, the judge doesn’t know why you’re not there. They call your name. You failed to appear. Now you have a warrant.
Here’s the truth you need to hear: Ignoring a missed court date turns a small problem into a disaster. Fixing it fast keeps you out of jail and keeps you in good standing with us.

Step 1: Call Us Immediately
Not tomorrow.
Not “after work.”
Now.
The second you realize you’ve missed court — even if it’s the same morning — call us.
Our job is to:
-
Check the warrant status
-
Talk you through your options
-
Coordinate with the courts and warrant officers
-
Keep your cosigner from having to pay the bond
Communication is everything. Ghost us, and we can’t protect you. Call us, and we’ll handle the fire with you.
Step 2: Do NOT Run or Hide
Running turns a minor issue into a major one.
A missed court date (FTA) can usually be fixed quickly if you cooperate. Running guarantees:
-
Possible new criminal charges and a fine
-
A bondsman or warrant officer knocking on your door. Remember – if Miss Kay has to come put handcuffs on you because you won’t handle your business, you’re likely to stay stuck in jail. All the other bondsmen know she tried to help you before she came out and hunted you down.
-
Lost money for you and your cosigner
Just talk to us. We don’t judge, and we don’t shame people for being human.
Step 3: Work With Us to Clear the Warrant
Every county handles this differently, but most give us options like:
-
Getting you on a “walk-in” docket
-
Having your lawyer get you a recall
-
Coordinating a bondsman surrender and immediate re-bond
-
Proving you were incarcerated if that was the case (it wasn’t like you could break out of jail and get to court!)
You will need to show up — but we’ll help you do it the right way so you don’t get blindsided.
Step 4: Stay in Touch Until It’s Fixed
Until the warrant is officially served or withdrawn and the court signs off, we need to stay in communication.
That means:
-
Answer your phone
-
Keep your appointments
-
Don’t disappear
We’re fighting to keep you out of jail and keep your cosigner’s money in their pocket. You just have to meet us halfway.
Step 4: Enjoy That Feeling Of Relief
(enough said … right?)
Bottom Line
Missing court isn’t the end of the world.
Ignoring it is.
Call us the moment it happens, and we’ll walk you through the exact steps to get you back on track — safely, legally, and without drama.
Special Circumstances
Sometimes things happen that are way beyond anyone’s control.
- The defendant is in jail elsewhere: call us and tell us where they are; we can usually sort things out administratively. They will usually need to rebond after release from wherever they are being held.
- The defendant is in hospital: usually an attorney will need to work with the courts to get a recall done. Call and we’ll try to help.
- The defendant has passed away: We are so sorry for your loss! Please let us know where the defendant was when they passed (county and state) so we can get a copy of the death certificate – we’ll handle the rest.
- The defendant was in court / clerical error: Try calling the clerk of court for that county and see if it can be fixed. If not, we’ll have to either get it recalled or served.
- You’re hiding from your PO: Bruh. Please. You’re making things so much worse than they need to be. Call us. We’ll help you make it right with probation. It’ll probably suck, but honestly, it sucks less to handle it the right way than to keep running.
